Join us for a as we head south for a very special late summer holiday in the stunning Italian Riviera.
In true Italian style we’ve planned a leisurely itinerary – perfect for relaxing, soaking up some Italian sunshine and exploring the best of the Ligurian coast.
Our holiday highlight will be a day excursion to the principality of Monaco, which lies only a short drive across the Italian border, giving us a one off opportunity for us to drive you in the yellow bus to the home of this famous urban race circuit!
About our hotel
We’ll be staying in the superb 4* Hotel Torino in the coastal town on Diano Marina. Enjoying an ideal location in the heart of town, and only a short walk from the town’s beach and promenade, this modern yet welcoming spa and wellness hotel is run by the Giordano family, and has an excellent reputation for service and cuisine.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, bar, and spacious restaurant, with an additional breakfast room with panoramic views on the fifth floor! All of the hotel’s bedrooms include a TV, safe, hairdryer & air conditioning.
Our holiday package includes a buffet breakfast and a four course evening meal each night at the hotel.
Day One Leaving south Wales early in the morning we travel to Folkestone for a lunchtime channel tunnel crossing and onward journey through France to Metz where we’ll rest for the night in our hotel accommodation. A three course fixed menu evening meal and buffet breakfast at the hotel are included.
Day Two The next day we continue with our journey south through France, arriving at our hotel in time to settle in before your evening meal.
Day Three – Ventimiglia & San Remo
After breakfast today we’ll take you to Ventimiglia where you’ll have the chance to visit the town’s famous Friday market. On the way back in the afternoon we’ll make a stop off at San Remo, the regional capital city.
Day Four – Monaco & Monte Carlo
Today we’ll be making a full day excursion across the Italian border and into Monaco, where you’ll have plenty of time to explore the principality’s old town of Monte Carlo with its historic buildings, and if you wish have the chance to visit the Prince’s Palace.
Day Five – Diano Marina
A free day for you to enjoy in Diano Marina – relax by hotel’s pool and make use of its excellent spa facilities, or take a short stroll into town for a coffee or a bite to eat, and don’t forget to pay a visit to the lovely sandy beaches near to the hotel.
Day Six – Alassio
A final chance to explore a little more this beautiful Ligurian region of the Riviera. Today we’ll visit the elegant resort of Alassio, a stunning coastal town lined with over four kilometres of sandy beach, not to mention its numerous shops, churches & piazza to explore as well.
Making our way back to the hotel at lunchtime so that you can spend the final afternoon relaxing at the hotel or by the sea in Diano Marina.
Time to say farewell to the Riviera and our hotel, we’ll set off in the morning after breakfast to make our way back for an overnight stopover at Metz in France with a three course fixed menu evening meal and breakfast included at our hotel.
Leaving Metz after breakfast we’ll make our way back to Calais for the channel tunnel crossing, before our return to Wales.

**IMPORTANT NOTE: Overnight Accommodation (Stay) Tax on Non-Resident Stays – The Italian Government has given the ability for each municipality in Italy to decide if they wish to introduce a stay tax levied on tourists. This has been implemented sporadically throughout Italy with each municipality deciding how they collect this. The tax broadly ranges from €1-€5 per person per night and is generally collected from each passenger on arrival. Due to the uncertain nature of collection and the decision being made by the municipalities we wish to ensure that all passengers are made aware of this on booking to ensure that any tax can be paid on arrival.
